Account & Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your OnlyTrucking account and the personal data associated with it at any time. You do not need the app installed to make the request.

How to request deletion

From the mobile app

1. Open the OnlyTrucking mobile app and sign in.
2. Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account.
3. Confirm the deletion. Your account is deactivated immediately.

By email — no app required

Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line “Account deletion request”. If you no longer control that email address, include your name, phone number, and company so we can verify your identity. We may ask follow-up questions to confirm the request is genuine — this protects your data from being deleted by someone else.

If you are the only active owner of a company, transfer ownership to another member or close the company first — the app will not let a company lose its last owner.

What gets deleted

• Your profile: name, email, phone, photo, preferences.
• Your personal documents and their files (CDL copies, medical cards, and other uploads in your personal vault).
• Your expense records, bank connection and imported transactions. The connection to your bank via Plaid is revoked.
• Your forum posts and reviews are deleted or irreversibly anonymized (shown as “deleted user”).
• Your marketplace listings are removed.
• Push tokens and linked accounts (e.g. Telegram) are unlinked and deleted.

What we keep, and for how long

Some records are exempt from deletion because the law requires keeping them:

• Driver qualification and safety records held by your carrier. Federal motor carrier regulations require carriers to retain driver qualification files, drug and alcohol testing records, and inspection records for defined periods after employment ends. These belong to your company’s regulatory file; deletion requests for them go to your employer.
• Operational records of a company (loads, settlements, invoices) belong to the company account, not the individual user, and are retained while required for tax and accounting purposes.
• Security logs are kept for a limited period for fraud prevention.

Data kept under these exemptions is not used for any other purpose and is deleted when the retention period ends. Deleted data also disappears from backups as they rotate on a fixed schedule.

Processing time

We complete deletion requests within 30 days of verifying your identity, and we will confirm by email when it is done.
